Hotel Residence Lundborg Prague is situated in the heart of Prague, near the Charles Bridge . Our small baroque hotel is in a 700 year-old building. All suits offer luxurious interiors and the majority of them also a view of the Charles Bridge . This stone bridge, one of the jewels of the gothic architecture, was built by Charles IV , a Czech king and a Holy Roman Emperor.

Many other historical sights, such as the Prague Castle, the St.Vitus cathedral, the Old Town Square, are within a walking distance. You will find many cosy restaurants, genuine Czech pubs as well as interesting boutiques and galleries along your way.

After the acquaintance you'll visit the wine cellar in the basement, do some wine testing, try some interesting varieties from many different years, while one of us in the staff tells the story of the stone walls and vault. Thereafter you'll take a quick walk to one of the first class restaurants of Prague. The alternative is to go to one of the many Checkish pubs that you will find in the neighborhood.

Our reception desk is available to guests 24 hours a day. There are 13 apartments and suits in the hotel. The standard equipment includes – a colour TV, a telephone with a direct line and a mini bar. There is also a safe, Internet and bathrooms with hydro-massage bathtub. Nine of the rooms have original wooden renaissance ceilings and the majority of the rooms overlook the Charles Bridge.

:: Remains of Judith bridge

Step back in time and explore the 12 century Judith bridge. Original extant parts of the oldest stone bridge in Europa. Only in Rezidence Lundborg Prague.

During the construction remains of Bridge Judith were found; Europe's second bridge, which was made of stone and was built in 1158.The remains are now being restored and put behind glass in the lobby. Located at the same floor, there will also be a bar and a dining-room for breakfast

A House with an old spirit

The very first note taking about the building is from 1336. A few decenniums later King Karl IV ordered the production of a new bridge to replace Bridge Judith, which was destroyed during severe weather and was flooded 1342. The remains of Bridge Judith are now kept at the entrance, dining room, and wine cellar of the Hotel.

During the last hours of the 30 yearlong war the Swedes were stopped at the Charles Bridge 1648 in Prague.

The building was probably renovated or additions were made around 1770. The beautiful paintings on the ceilings of many rooms probably were derived from this renovation.
